| So-called musiw@b® technology is built into every musiphone® NEXT LEVEL system. This enables the systems to make a stand-alone Internet data transfer connection to the musiw@b® server without any PC or external modem being attached, to search for new data for the licence code stored within the appliance and then to download this data into the unit. Downloads can be date and time controlled, and can therefore, for instance, always take place at night. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| Data is transferred by simple http protocol with access provided only to URLs hard-coded in the appliance. As NEXT LEVEL systems are not generally connected to any other IT equipment on the data side, full isolation of the dial-up components is also guaranteed. | For every musiphone® installed anywhere in the world a code can be arranged for every individual memory location. When commissioned to do so by a client, BEYERTONE AG can then hold announcements and/or music files under these codes on the musiw@b® server. These will then be accessed by the relevant NEXT LEVEL system the next time it requests a download. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| For major projects with over 100 systems it is also possible to implement the client’s own server address in NEXT LEVEL systems and thus to provide the client with a complete musiw@b® system which they can manage themselves. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| With NEXT LEVEL ADVANCED it is also possible, as an alternative, to transfer audio data (announcements/music) by a ‘push’ procedure from a central PC onto the remotely installed units. To do this, it must be possible for the PC to access the units via a LAN connection (also possible worldwide via WAN connections). | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| Additional tip:
To increase the effectiveness of telephone answering messages as a communications medium, a musiphone® connected to your PABX system can also help you to set up a sort of ‘obligatory welcome message’. In other words, you can ensure that every caller is played an informative or promotional message by the musiphone® before any member of staff takes their call. |
