Optional script programming software turns NEXT LEVEL series musiphone® appliances into an automatic telephone switchboard. Callers enter DTMF characters and are helped by the musiphone® to put themselves through. The optional script programming software also enables announcements to be linked based on caller selections. It is thus no problem to create multi-stage options with multiple levels.
The optional script programming software also allows the call connection process to be monitored, i.e. if desired, the NEXT LEVEL system can recognise if the number that has been dialled is busy or if nobody answers within a preset time. In such cases, a new announcement can be played out and new options offered.
Pseudo direct-dial is an integral part of the optional script programming software. It enables callers to use any touchtone (DTMF) phone to enter the direct-dial number they want even as the current announcement is being played out. Once they have entered the number (up to 20 digits), the musiphone® connects them with that extension. This function can also come in useful for use on telephone connections that do not allow direct dial-in.
Time control of announcements is a basic, standard specification feature of every musiphone® NEXT LEVEL system. In each of the four operating modes (day, night, break and holiday), various different memory locations with appropriate announcements can be assigned to each of the system’s ports, thus ensuring maximum flexibility.
Additional tip:

If you wish, you can further lighten the load on switchboard staff by publicising departmental and employee extension numbers via the musiphone®. In this way, when callers ring again they know which exactly extension to dial.
