by pressing one of the 0 to 9 keys or the star key. |

DTMF entry can also be used to call up additional messages with more options on the musiphone®. This permits the construction of selection trees in which the caller can independently make decisions without the involvement of a member of staff. |

A high-quality answering machine can be set up simply by enabling the mailbox software option. At the push of a button the welcome message function thus becomes a high-capacity answering machine (via SMC card, up to four hours and more). Here, in contrast to many separate answering machines, the renowned musiphone® sound quality is also guaranteed for the answering machine greeting. The mailbox function can be used both out of hours and during the day, for example when the extension requested was not answered on automatic transfer. |

To provide notification of any new messages left in the mailbox, the musiphone® can be set to dial a DTMF string of up to 20 digits (any character can be used, i.e. the numbers 0 to 9, star, hash, A, B, C, D and also flash). This can either initiate a call (e.g. to a mobile phone) or activate a message or lamp on a system telephone. |

Additional tip:
The workload of telephone receptionists can be eased still further by storing the responses to frequently asked questions on the musiphone® in the form of professional announcements, for example fax numbers, Internet addresses, directions, hotline numbers etc.
